Inc. Magazine Reveals Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Aug. 17, 2021) – Inc. magazine today revealed that Hill Technical Solutions (HTS) is No. 1158 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. HTS is 14th on Inc’s list of fastest-growing private Alabama companies and 9th on the Huntsville list. This marks the fifth consecutive year HTS has appeared on this list, which represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Founded in 2010, HTS provides engineering solutions for major government programs for the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy in digital engineering; hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) solutions; modeling, simulation, and analysis; and system assessments.
“It is an honor to be recognized as an Inc. 5000 finalist for the fifth year in a row,” said Glenn Turner, HTS CEO. “We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our employees and the support of our customers and our partners, without whom our growth and success would not be possible.”
HTS has also received multiple Best Places to Work® awards in Huntsville/Madison County. Turner explained that HTS fosters a flexible, family-friendly culture where employees enjoy their jobs, resulting in high-quality work for customers, leading to company growth.
Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges, according to Inc. officials. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.
