Inc. Magazine Unveils Its Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 14, 2020 – Inc. magazine revealed that Hill Technical Solutions Inc. (HTSI), headquartered here, is No. 1896 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The company experienced growth of 222.5% and ranked No. 21 out of 73 Alabama companies on the list and No. 7 out of 28 Huntsville companies.

The Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

Founded in 2010, HTSI provides support to major government programs for the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and United States Air Force in areas that include system engineering, ground test data management, and modeling/simulation.

“We are honored to be recognized as an Inc. 5000 finalist for the fourth year in a row,” said Brad Hill, HTSI president. “We are committed to our customers’ success, and we appreciate their support, and the dedication of our employees and partners.”

HTSI has also received multiple “Best Places to Work” awards in Huntsville/Madison County. Hill said HTSI fosters a culture where employees enjoy their jobs, resulting in excellent work for customers, which leads to company growth.

Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well. The 2020 Inc. 5000 achieved an incredible three-year average growth of over 500 percent, and a median rate of 165 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years.
